HIRING PROCESS



Employment applications submitted through our website are reviewed daily (Monday through Friday) by our Recruiting Team. Here’s a recap of the process we follow in selecting qualified individuals to join the PSC family.


1. APPLY ONLINE

  • View our current job openings and create an account to apply for position(s) that interest you. In order to be considered for employment, you MUST complete the online application form. We do not accept paper applications or resumes sent via email or mailed/delivered to any of our personnel or office locations.
  • Thoroughly complete the online application form (as opposed to referencing an attached resume). Provide information on your last five jobs (if applicable) and up-to-date contact information, including your daytime phone numbers and an email address that you check on a regular basis.
  • After you complete and submit an application, you will receive an email confirmation once we have received your application.
  • NOTE: Keep your username and password in a convenient place, as you will need it later to update/edit your application. If you forgot your username or password, click on “Retrieve your Login.”
 


2. APPLICATION REVIEW

  •  A recruiter will review your application to see if your skills, experience, and pay requirements match our needs.
  • If your application is not selected for further consideration, you will be notified by email.
 


3. PHONE / VIDEO INTERVIEW

  •  If selected for further consideration, you will be contacted by phone or email to schedule a phone/video interview. We will ask a few questions about your application and provide more information regarding the position.
  • If your application is not selected for further consideration, you will be notified by email.
 


4. IN-PERSON INTERVIEW

  • In-person interviews will be scheduled with selected candidates. Panel interviews are usually conducted and may include the recruiter, hiring supervisors, managers, etc.
  • Candidates should be prepared to discuss their work experience and qualifications in detail and ask questions about the position and company.
  • If your application is not selected for further consideration, you will be notified by phone or email.
 


5. REFERENCE CHECKS

  • After interviews are held, we will check references with current/previous supervisors on our final candidates.
  • If your application is not selected for further consideration, you will be notified by phone or email.
 


6. EMPLOYMENT OFFER

  • Following pre-employment requirements, the interview team will make a hiring decision and the recruiter will extend an offer.
  • Information will be provided regarding the pay rate, potential start date, benefits, and all applicable job requirements such as background checks, drug screen, physical, TWIC, driver’s license, etc.
 


7. BACKGROUND STAGE

  • Once the offer has been accepted, pre-employment checks will begin. Completion time may vary depending on several factors, including position, location, types of screenings required, etc.
  • Note: TWIC may delay the hiring process (if applicable). That is why we recommend applying for and/or obtaining the TWIC prior to applying with Petroleum Service Corporation.
  • This is also the best time to consider giving notice to your current employer (if applicable).
 


8. NEW EMPLOYEE ORIENTATION

  • Once pre-employment checks have cleared; you will be contacted by an HR team member who will schedule you to attend New Employee Orientation (NEO).
