Cordell Haymon

Senior Vice President

“I am especially proud of our outstanding record of safety and our culture of caring for one another and driving toward excellence. It is gratifying to see the strength and depth of leadership that drives our continuous improvement.”

As the son of PSC’s founder, Cordell has a long history with the company. He was eight years old when his father, Derryl Haymon, started PSC in 1952 while working on the docks of ExxonMobil in Baton Rouge (then known as Standard Oil).

Cordell helped his father grow the company from three employees to more than 3,300 today. He served as CEO for 35 years and currently serves as Senior Vice President, helping to ensure that PSC’s business plan, to take care of the work we have and to continue to find more, holds true.

After earning a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Rice University in Houston, Texas, Cordell returned to Baton Rouge to attend law school at Louisiana State University and began working for PSC. He lives in Baton Rouge with his wife of 53 years, Ava. They have two children and three grandchildren.
